STUDIO MEMBERSHIP!

On Wednesday-Sundays from 11-4 we run our drop-in studio membership programme, Pottery Club !

The membership includes full access to all the studio's materials and equipment, so you can make and glaze whatever you'd like (as long as it can fit in the kiln) !

HOW IT WORKS !

This is a session-by-session membership, which gives you access to making, glazing and firing your own ceramic pieces. 

These sessions are non-instructional and self-lead, but I will be around working on my own pots + happy to help if you have questions ! :-)

What is included in each £40 session :

- 5 hours of studio time (11am-4pm)
- Unlimited clay (Terracotta or White)
- Access to all glazes + decorating materials
- Bisque firing for all items
- Glaze firing for all items
- Access to all studio tools + the electric pottery wheel

Depending on what you plan to make , it is recommended that you book sessions in sets of 2 - so you can have one session for making and another for glazing.

Glazing is optional for some pieces (i.e plant pots, sculptural work), but if you would like your pieces to be food-safe or want them to be water resistant they will need to be glazed.

Please note !

BAMBER is a pottery studio which predominantly focuses on hand-building. We have one small pottery wheel which you are welcome to use, though as all members will have access of all tools, use of the wheel is not guaranteed should someone else at the same session ask to reserve it before you. 

The studio has a broad range of brush-on glazes, intended for use on terracotta and white clay. You are welcome to bring your own clay and glazes to use on your work, but please let me know if you intend to do so - they will need to be able to be fired at Cone 05-04, or Cone 5 (1030-1065  or  1190 degrees celsius) if they are to be fired alongside the other studio work. If you wish to fire your work outside of these firing ranges, you may need to hire out the whole kiln - please enquire for kiln hiring rates ! :-)
